Guided Fly Fishing in Southwestern Colorado and Internationally
Creating impactful experiences on the water through a passion for fly fishing.
I am a strong believer that the tightest bonds are cultivated through time shared outside, especially on the water. Fly fishing is the catalyst for a life long pursuit of learning and adventure.
Robert H Brooks
Robert Brooks is a full time-year round fly fishing guide based out of Crested Butte, CO. While attending the University of Texas at Austin, Robert spent his Summers guiding on the Taylor River in Almont, Colorado. Upon graduation, he spent the next year and a half working in sales and consulting for a Fortune 100 tech company. Life in a cubicle just didn’t have the same appeal as being in the center of a drift boat, or wading through an oxbow of a small stream. So what did he do? He packed up everything he owned and moved to Minturn, Colorado, where he returned to pursuing a career of chasing his passion for fly fishing. Robert has since guided the Eagle, Colorado, Gunnison, Taylor and Rio Grande rivers, to name a few. During the Winter months, you can find him at the Martin Pescador Lodge in Patagonian Chile, chasing an “almost” endless Summer. His time in Chile has given him the opportunity to guide trout fishing from jet boats, rafts, pangas and helicopters. Whether you are looking to hunt down a big brown trout with a streamer, target sippers on small dry flies or simply experience an unforgettable day on the water, Brooks would love to share the experience with you.
