Locations and Fisheries

  • Gunnison Valley

The Gunnison Valley watershed is home to a plethora of unique rivers and streams. Most notably, the Gunnison and Taylor Rivers, as well as Tomichi Creek. Whether walk wading small creeks and streams or fishing from the bow of a drift boat, there are plenty of options for anglers both seasoned and beginner. Dependent on water conditions, our season typically runs from early June through the end of October. Additionally, Eleven Experience offers 5 star accommodations for the traveling angler at Taylor River Lodge.

  • Rio Grande

The mighty Rio Grande! Yes, in fact, this is the same river that seperates the state of Texas from our Tequila drinking brethren just South of the border. The head waters of the Rio Grande form just above the town of Creede, Colorado, where I guide for the one and only, Rio Grande Anglers. Float fishing is primarily the name of the game on the “Rio,” as there is limited public access, as well as tough wading conditions. If throwing dry flies or streamers from the bow of a drift boat entices you, it just might be time to check this one out.

  • Patagonian Chile

Need I say more? The legends of the Patagonian brown trout should speak for themselves when it comes to this one. Home to some of the nastiest weather on the planet, Chile also hosts some of the finest trout fishing in either hemisphere. Sight fishing, big foam dries, dragonflies, streamers and gin clear water are just a few of the heart thumping experiences in the legendary Los Lagos region of Patagonia.
